WHO WE ARE

A senior SQL Server team you can outsource to

FusionHit is where US teams outsource SQL Server work without the cost and lead time of hiring a full-time DBA. Senior nearshore engineers, fluent in T-SQL, performance tuning, and Azure SQL, work in your time zone as an extension of your team.

\
WHAT WE DO

SQL Server services we provide

One senior team across the full SQL Server lifecycle, from a tuning pass to an Azure cutover.

Performance tuning and index optimization

Execution plans and Query Store evidence first, then a ranked fix list with expected impact.

Version upgrades

Out-of-support instances brought to a supported release, with compatibility surprises found in advance.

Azure SQL migration

Moves to Azure SQL Database or Managed Instance, including what breaks and what it costs.

T-SQL and stored procedure development

New logic written to be read, and inherited procedures documented as we go.

SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS modernization

Brittle packages and decade-old reports replaced with something that fails loudly.

High availability, DR, and remote DBA

Availability Groups, tested failover, and fractional DBA coverage instead of a full-time hire.

Why FusionHit

Why US companies outsource SQL Server to us

Senior database engineers

Engineers who read execution plans, not just write queries, and approved by you before they start.

Nearshore engineers on US hours, working live in your environments, your tools, and your standups.

Flexible engagement

A few days a month of DBA coverage, or a full migration team, sized to what you actually need.

Integrated partnership

We work as an extension of your engineering and data teams, not a hands-off vendor.

FAQ

FAQs about our SQL Server consulting services

01

Why outsource SQL Server work instead of hiring a DBA?

Most companies need a few days a month of senior database attention, not a $150k full-time hire. Outsourcing gives you that fractionally, at 30-50% below US rates, and scales up when a migration actually needs it.
02

Our SQL Server version is out of support. Should we upgrade in place or move to Azure?

It depends on your hardware refresh cycle, licensing agreement, and how much of the estate can move. We model all three options (in-place upgrade, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and paying for extended security updates) with real numbers before recommending one.
03

Can you do an assessment before we commit to a project?

Yes, and we prefer it. The assessment returns a ranked, evidence-backed fix list with expected impact, which is useful whether or not you hire us for the work.
04

Our stored procedures are undocumented and the original developer is gone. Can you work with that?

Yes. That is the normal starting point. We reverse-engineer and document as we go, so you own the knowledge regardless of what happens to the engagement.
05

Will migrating to Azure SQL break our SSIS packages and SQL Agent jobs?

Some of it, usually. Cross-database queries, linked servers, and Agent jobs are the common casualties, and we inventory them during assessment rather than discovering them at cutover.
06

Why did adding CPU and RAM not fix our performance problem?

Because the usual causes are missing indexes, parameter sniffing, implicit conversions, and row-by-row processing in nightly jobs, none of which hardware fixes. We start with evidence, not a bigger instance.
07

How do you keep downtime to a minimum during a cutover?

Staged migration with replication where the edition supports it, a rehearsed cutover, and a written rollback plan. The old instance stays available until the new one has proven itself.
08

Who holds our database credentials and backups during the engagement?

You do. We work with scoped, auditable access that you can revoke, and backups never leave your environment.

Ready to fix your SQL Server?

Tell us what is slow, unsupported, or about to move, and we'll show you the team that can handle it.
